Made-to-measure bed skirt for a cohesive family bed
A made-to-measure bed skirt can transform a bed made up of several parts into one calm, cohesive piece of furniture. FamBed originally developed the bed skirt for the FamBed DIY co-sleeping bed, which combines several beds or mattresses into one larger family bed. It conceals the joins between the different parts, giving a tired bed frame or practical DIY setup a fresher, cosier or more modern look.
This means you can add an extension bed to your existing bed, whether your setup consists of a Scandinavian continental bed or box mattresses placed on frames or legs. The made-to-measure bed skirt covers the entire bed base, visually bringing the different parts together as one cohesive bed. When it reaches all the way to the floor, it can also conceal the legs, frames and any storage beneath the bed.
A bed skirt tailored to your exact measurements
You choose the width, length and height. Enter the finished dimensions you want after washing, then select your style and colour. There is no need to allow for shrinkage yourself, as we calculate the necessary allowance during production. Textiles are flexible and cannot be measured exactly to the millimetre, so the finished dimensions have a tolerance of +/- 2-3%.
Choose the right height for your bed
Choose the height based on the distance from the top edge of the bed base to the floor and the look you want to create. The two most common bed skirt heights are 47 cm and 60 cm. If you need a taller bed skirt or a specific height, the made-to-measure version can be tailored to your measurements. The same applies if the recommended standard lengths and widths do not fit your bed.
Made to measure from 100% OEKO-TEX® certified cotton
The bed skirt is made from 100% OEKO-TEX® certified cotton. This natural fabric gives the bed a softer, more harmonious look and is made for everyday use in the family bedroom. Choose from white, dark grey and beige to coordinate the bed skirt with your sheet, bed and the rest of your décor.
Plain or ruffled style
The plain style creates a clean, modern look around the bed base. The ruffled style adds fullness and a softer, cosier feel. Both styles are made to your exact measurements, so you do not have to adapt your bed setup to fit a mass-produced bed skirt. You choose the combination of dimensions, style and colour that best suits your family bed.
Washing and care
Machine washable at 60°C. Tumble dryer safe. Pre-shrunk, but made with an allowance for further shrinkage.
